PRACTICE DIRECTIVES

The Administrative Tribunals Act (the "ATA")states that the Tribunal must issue certain practice directives. These are found below.

ATA, s. 12 (a) the usual time period for completing an application and for completing the procedural steps within an application

The usual time period for completing an appeal is 3 – 4 months from the date the Tribunal received the appeal

 

   
(b) the usual time period within which the tribunal's final decision and reasons are to be released after the hearing of the application is completed The usual time periods within which the Tribunal’s final decision and reasons are released:
(a) for decisions based solely on written submissions, within 30 days after assignment to a Member
(b) for decisions based on written submissions and an oral hearing, within 30 days after the completion of the oral hearing.
