PRACTICE DIRECTIVES |

| The Administrative Tribunals Act (the "ATA")states that the Tribunal must issue certain practice directives. These are found below. | |

| ATA, s. 12 (a) the usual time period for completing an application and for completing the procedural steps within an application |
The usual time period for completing an appeal is 3 – 4 months from the date the Tribunal received the appeal

| (b) the usual time period within which the tribunal's final decision and reasons are to be released after the hearing of the application is completed | The usual time periods within which the Tribunal’s final decision and reasons are released: (a) for decisions based solely on written submissions, within 30 days after assignment to a Member (b) for decisions based on written submissions and an oral hearing, within 30 days after the completion of the oral hearing. |
