A Member of the Employment Standards Tribunal since 2004, Carol-Ann Hart is a lawyer called to the Bar of B.C. in 1990.
Ms. Hart is an Adjudicator under the Independent Assessment Process for Indian Residential Schools abuse claims. She is a mediator on the Mediate BC Civil and Child Protection Mediator Rosters. Ms. Hart was also a mediator for the Canadian Human Rights Commision and a BC Provincial Court mediator.
Ms. Hart teaches law courses at the BC Institute of Technology. She is an Independent Third Party Reviewer of staffing and staff relations complaints for the Canada Revenue Agency.
Ms. Hart conducts mediations, workplace investigations, and training for Government of Canada departments in the areas of labour and employment law, human rights, conflict resolution, and workplace harrassment. She was an arbitrator with the BC Residential Tenancy Office for fourteen years and the Appeal Board Chairperson for the Public Service Commission of Canada for the BC and Yukon Region from 1996 - 2000.
Ms. Hart volunteered from 2004 - 2010 as a Member of the New Westminster Police Board, and also served as a Director of the BC Association of Police Boards and a Director of the Canadian Association of Police Boards.
