YUKI MATSUNO


Yuki Matsuno has been a Member of the Employment Standards Tribunal since 2006. Ms. Matsuno is a mediator and lawyer in private practice, mediating civil, family and workplace disputes. Before launching her mediation and consulting practice, she practiced labour and employment law and was a labour relations consultant at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Ms. Matsuno serves as part-time Faculty in the School of Business at BCIT, teaching labour relations, and conducts workshops for clients on topics such as communication skills and conflict resolution in the workplace.

Ms. Matsuno is a director of the National Nikkei Museum and Heritage Centre and is active with the Alternate Dispute Resolution Section and Women Lawyers Forum of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch. Her credentials include an Honours B.A. and law degree from the University of British Columbia and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1997 and is accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia as a Family Law Mediator. Ms. Matsuno is also a member of the British Columbia Civil Mediator Roster.
