The British Columbia Employment Standards Tribunal

We are an administrative tribunal established under the Employment Standards Act.  The Tribunal conducts appeals of determinations issued by the Director of Employment Standards under the Employment Standards Act and under the Temporary Foreign Worker Protection Act. The Tribunal may also reconsider any order or decision it makes.

If you have been served with a determination issued by the Director of Employment Standards you may appeal the determination with the Tribunal.

If you have questions about minimum standards of wages and working conditions in most workplaces in British Columbia or if you would like to file a complaint against an employer, please contact the Employment Standards Branch by telephone via Service BC at 1-833-236-3700 or through their website at www.gov.bc.ca/EmploymentStandards.

The Employment Standards Tribunal acknowledges the traditional territories of the many diverse Indigenous Peoples in the geographic area we serve. With gratitude and respect, we acknowledge that the Tribunal’s office is located on the traditional unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlil̓wətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
